Project Overview
The road development consists of the realignment of a section of the N69 and is approx. 6km in length. The scheme included approx. 4km of a new single carriageway and approx. 2.5km of online improvements to the exiting R533 (John B Keane Road) with enhanced pedestrian and cycle facilities. The project also included three roundabouts and a considerable amount of offline works and associated works were also carried out.
Snagging works of both the mainline and offline section are currently being closed off. Accommodation works for the locals along with additional change orders are currently being completed now that the road is opening. The compiling of the safety file is well underway which will form part of the handover. Kerry County Council are very happy with the new development and have thanked and praised the hard work by all Wills staff and subcontractors since the project began.
