Over the past 50 years, Wills Bros have steadily and sustainably grown as a leading Civil Engineering Main Contractor with established operations in Ireland and the UK, and the capacity to deliver ad-hoc services in mainland Europe on a client-by-client basis. We have extensive experience as Principal Contractor (PC) and Principal Designer (PD) in the UK, and as Project Supervision Construction Stage (PSCS), and Project Supervision Designer Process (PSDP) in Ireland.

We are experts in the design, construction, and delivery of complex civil engineering projects, with expertise in road and bridge construction, street works, water, sewerage and utilities, flood prevention, marine works, land reclamation, earthworks, wind farms, and enabling works for commercial and industrial clients, as well as significant expertise of data centres, pharmaceuticals, and other highly regulated construction environments.

We are formally certified to the ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) management standards, as well as operating a UKAS certified material testing laboratory in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard for competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

We are extremely proud to be amongst a small handful of Civil Engineering contractors to have achieved the BSI Kitemark for BIM – ISO 19650-1, 19650-2 & BS 1192-4:2014. We are also actively working towards ISO 44001 (Collaborative Business Relationships).

We were honoured to be the first Civil Engineering Contractor in the whole world to be recognised as Carbon Neutral under the United Nations ‘One Carbon World’ scheme using the recognised greenhouse gas (GHG) protocol (ISO 14064), and PAS 2060 (Carbon Neutrality) methodologies.

We believe in a no-nonsense safety culture where everything is done for a purpose. We work extremely hard every day to deliver our projects to the highest health & safety standards which is underpinned by excellent performance statistics and numerous awards.

As an ISO 14001 certified company we are deeply passionate about the environment and sustainability. In the planning, design and construction of our infrastructure projects we take great care to minimise our waste and carbon output, and to work with the seasons and at least disturbance to local flora and fauna. We have significant experience of working in environmentally sensitive areas (Special Areas of Conservation (SAC), Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), Special Protection Area’s (SPA), to the satisfaction of our clients, regulators and local interest groups.

To support the economy in meeting its climate change commitments, Wills Bros have reviewed the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and we have taken on board the ones we feel are relevant to the construction industry and to the company. We have set up an internal system for tracking our journey towards aligning with these commitments and becoming an ever more sustainable company.

Of course, the journey to becoming more efficient and sustainable never ends but incremental changes can make a positive difference and we will use our knowledge and influence to drive change for the betterment of the construction industry.
