Project Overview
Wills Bros are currently working for Scottish Power Renewables as the Balance of Plant Contractor for the repowering of Hagshaw Windfarm.
The project includes 14No. Nordex turbines which will generate around 80MW when erected.
Key Numbers
- The design and upgrading of 12km of existing forestry tracks.
- Dnd design and construction of 6km of new access roads.
- Installation and commissioning of Site electrical infrastructure.
- Over 12.5km of on-site cable trenching.
- Design, installation and testing of WTG switchgear and connection to Sub-Station Section control room switchgear.
- Design and construction of WTG Bases including 7000m3 of concrete and 900t of steel reinforcement.
- Design and construction of a new substation building.
- This windfarm will replace the existing decommissioned Hagshaw Hill windfarm (26 turbines with 15.6MW Capacity)
