Project Overview
The Coate Roundabout Improvement works aimed to provide resurfaced sections of the existing carriageway along Marlborough Road and Commonhead Roundabout located in Swindon, alongside refurbishment of the existing traffic signal system at Coate Roundabout and two new pedestrian crossing points on Queens Drive. To facilitate the works, two subways were decommissioned, 250 m3 of foam concrete was installed
The works also incorporated a new 2.5m wide footway and widening of existing footway to form a new 4m wide segregated b cycleway/footway on the East arm of the roundabout.

- 120m2 of deck waterproofing system replaced – 30m of transverse joint and 8m of longitudinal joints installed.
- 11 streetlights installed.
- 90m of streetlight duct and cable installed.
- 4700m2 of flexible composite pavement (bitumen surfacing material).

- 1050m2 footpath paving.
- 1050m half batter kerbs.
