Project Overview
The project comprised of upgrading and widening a 3.5km section of Greenhills Road and Strathaven Road (A726) to dual carriageway status with two 7.3m wide carriageways, plus central reserve, footpaths, cycleway, and verge.
Bus laybys and several new pedestrian and toucan crossings incorporated along the route to improve accessibility and safety for pedestrians and cyclists. Two new retaining structures are required on, one being an in-situ reinforced concrete wall and the other comprising CFA piles and pre-cast and institu-concrete to form a new pedestrian access ramp.
