Teacher Placement Programme
We were proud to collaborate with STEM Ambassadors in Scotland and Go!Construct to deliver a two-day Scottish STEM Placement Teacher Education Programme. Five secondary school teachers from local schools joined us for an insightful and hands on experience across both our head office in Motherwell and our site in Cowcaddens at Glasgow city centre.
Day 1 featured introductions to colleagues from various departments, each sharing their unique career journeys into the industry. The day also included an engaging Social Value mini project and a Q&A session.
Day 2 took teachers to our Cowcaddens site, where they toured the site office, observed live construction works, and interacted with our student placements and project team.
The feedback from both teachers and our staff was incredibly positive. Teachers left with a broader and deeper understanding of the range of careers and pathways available in construction, which they can now pass on to their pupils which will help to inspire the next generation of engineering and construction.
