Timahoe Solar Farm – Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards 2026
We’re delighted to share that the Timahoe Solar Farm project has been recognised as a Judges Silver Award winner at the Irish Construction Excellence Awards 2026. The project marks a major milestone in Ireland’s renewable energy sector, as the first solar farm developed on peatland.
Timahoe is now generating 15MW of its planned 108MW capacity, with the potential to power approximately 25,000 homes with clean, renewable energy.
Wills Bros has successfully installed 62,500 piles and delivered key civils works, including drainage systems, fencing, and transformer foundations. Works are now progressing on the MV route and access tracks. A landmark sustainable infrastructure project and a fantastic achievement for everyone involved.
