We were pleased to attend the recent Apprenti-fest event which took place in the STEAM museum in Swindon on the 7th June.

The full day event allowed us to engage with seven local secondary schools along with the 350 members of the public who attended the evening session.

During the sessions, attendees were able to receive Careers information and advice on Apprenticeships by speaking to  Clinton Odogun – Site Agent, Gabriel Evangelista – Quantity Surveyor, Kieran Roddy – Trainee Civil Engineer, and Angela Newlands – Community Liaison Officer who also shared their own career journey into the industry and challenged the pupils to ‘Guess the job’ where attendees were presented with job description cards and were tasked with matching this to the correct job role which highlighted the number of different job roles there in in the industry which could be accessed via the Apprenticeship route.

Following the sessions 97% of those who completed a survey stated that ‘after the event, they felt more confident in their understanding of Apprenticeships.’
