Wills Bros is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join the delivery of the West Apron Vehicle Underpass (WAVU) at Dublin Airport – a landmark infrastructure project shaping the future of airport operations. This is a unique opportunity to work on a major project in a live operational environment, leading the delivery of structural works while ensuring quality, safety, and programme compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures for all phases of the project, including materials testing, workmanship, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and audits, and prepare reports for project management.
  • Identify and address any quality-related issues or defects promptly, providing solutions and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Work closely with the project management team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and adherence to project timelines.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures within the project and the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on quality assurance and control, preferably in road or large infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards, as well as Irish construction regulations including ISO 9001 standards and other relevant quality management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and quality management systems.
  • Fluent English essential.
