Wills Bros were delighted to join Councillor Neal Ingram, Cabinet Spokesperson for Roads and Transportation, local councillors and members of the New Cumnock community in a ribbon cutting ceremony on the 27th April to mark the official opening of the eagerly awaited New Cumnock Flood Protection Scheme.

Children from the local primary and early childhood centre got a front row seat to the celebrations and joined guests back at New Cumnock town hall.

Jamie Sime, Site Agent for Wills Bros was quoted as saying: “Wills Bros are proud to have delivered this key flood protection project on behalf of East Ayrshire Council. We would like to thank the surrounding residents and businesses for their patience and cooperation during the works and look forward to seeing the lasting benefits the project will bring to the local community in protecting homes and businesses from flooding in New Cumnock”.

Wills Bros very much looks forward to partnering with local authorities in Ayrshire on future projects. Well done to the whole project team on the successful delivery of this scheme for the people of New Cumnock.
