Project Overview

Wills Bros are collaborating with The Highland Council on the ongoing Naver Bridge Replacement Scheme, involving the replacement of the titular bridge across an active river, designated as environmentally sensitive for its thriving Salmonoid population.

As part of the popular North Coast 500 tourist route, the bridge replacement is essential to provide safer, more accessible transit across the river. We are undertaking ongoing liaison for local properties proximal to the project to keep them informed of its status and to minimise disruption to local stakeholders and the environment throughout construction.

Chair of The Highland Council’s Economy and Infrastructure Committee, Councillor Ken Gowans said:

This vital transport link is a major north coast project which demonstrates our commitment to improving the infrastructure in rural areas of Highland. I am delighted to see the project continue to take shape, with the beams arriving (…). The ongoing works are progressing well, and a huge credit must go to the contractors and our council staff overseeing all the construction to date on this key development.
