The award winning Gairnshiel Jubilee bridge has been named as a finalist for yet another incredible award! – The Bridges Award!
We are delighted to see the project continue to receive recognition.
Richard Henderson, Project Manager said:
“Being named a finalist is a testament to the collaboration, creativity, and dedication of everyone involved. We are proud to be nominated!”
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way!
The Bridges Awards celebrate the sheer ingenuity, project management and cooperative skills of the people behind the design, construction and maintenance of pedestrian, highway and rail bridges. The search for the extraordinary has now begun and outstanding achievement in UK bridge projects is now sought under seven general categories: bridge design, bridge construction, new life, management, international participation, sustainability, and training.
After listening to feedback, there are some exciting changes for 2025. We have added two new categories, the Bridges Sustainability Award and the Bridges Ethos Award. The Bridges Ethos Award recognises an outstanding apprenticeship programme or initiative in staff training/retainment in the bridge sector. The Bridges Sustainability Award recognises innovation in the reduction of carbon emissions in bridge design, construction, maintenance, refurbishment/repair, disposal or management.
