Project Overview
Road Improvement Scheme in the Adamstown area of South Dublin. The works included the construction more than 3.95km of new roads, which were either on the line of existing roads or off-line in close proximity to existing roads, together with tie-ins, accommodation works, boundary treatment, drainage, water mains, earthworks, landscaping, footpaths/cycle-tracks, traffic and pedestrian lights, public lighting and ancillary works.
The project consisted of new service installation including HV, MV and LV ESB, Telecoms, Eir, Gas, Public Lighting and CCTV ducting, over 7km of storm and foul sewers and attenuation tanks. Works also included the demolition of an1930s extension to the 12th Lock Bridge while protecting the 1770s bridge structure over the Grand Canal and extend this to form a 2-way vehicular bridge with pedestrian paths.
