At our A939 New Gairnshiel Bridge site near Ballater, the team visited the local schools to pass on the safety message that children shouldn’t play in and around construction sites.
The children were then invited to design some posters. Sam Wallace, Structures Agent dropped in to collect the posters, which the team will have on display in the office at Gairnshiel for visitors to admire. There are definitely some budding artistic designers in the making!
As a thank you for participating, the school received a Wills Bros. certificate of participation, and each child at the three surrounding schools received a sweet treat gifted by our Traffic Management contractor, Hattons.
During the school holidays we would like to remind children of the dangers presented by construction sites and advise them to STAY SAFE, and have a great festive holiday!
