Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team for an exciting major marine construction project. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and deliver complex engineering solutions in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all civil engineering activities related to the marine project, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and clients to ensure designs align with project specifications.
- Monitor on-site construction activities, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest quality standards and adherence to design specifications.
- Lead site inspections and audits to ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to marine works, including environmental and operational challenges.
- Maintain strong communication channels with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor budgets, prepare cost estimates, and ensure financial objectives are met.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is highly desirable.
- 6+ years of experience preferably within Irish industry
- Proficiency in marine engineering methodologies, dredging, piling, or coastal protection techniques is desired.
- Strong understanding of environmental and regulatory requirements for marine projects.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with design software & project management tools such as AutoCAD and MS Project.
