Firhouse Road Realignment Contract B

The Firhouse Road Realignment Contract B involved the realignment and reconstruction of 1.5 km of urban road. The new alignment consisted of a 10.5 m wide carriageway, 2.0 m grass verges, 1.75 m wide cycle ways and 1.8 m wide footpaths on both sides. Works included the diversion of existing services and the installation of new services for Telecoms (overhead and underground), 38Kv & 10Kv and LV ESB electricity supply, water mains and gas mains along the entire route. The project also required the construction of new random rubble stone boundary walls complete with wall railings along the majority of the scheme.
