STEPASIDE ALL WEATHER PITCH

The contract involves the construction of an all weather pitch to accommodate both GAA and soccer on 13,395m2 of 3rd generation synthetic turf at the Eight Acre Field in Stepaside, Co. Dublin.

Construction of the Facility will conform to the requirements of the FIFA quality concept for artificial turf pitches and GAA specification but will be tested to BS EN 15330:2007 Surfaces for Sports Areas Synthetic Turf and Needle Punch Surfaces primarily designed for outdoor use, Part 1 2007.

The nature of the works include site clearance & topsoil strip, extensive earthworks (cut/fill), formation preparation, drainage, attenuation trench, fencing & ball stop netting, shock pad, third generation synthetic surfacing, flood lighting & M&E works, reinstatement and ancillary works etc.
