Sligo General Hospital - Ring Road Contract
The Sligo General Hospital – Ring Road contract is designed to provide for a ring road, within the hospital site, to facilitate future development at Sligo General Hospital.
Site clearance including bushes, trees, walls, underground and overground services, existing carparks, existing roads
Bulk excavation to reduce levels
Disposal of selected excavated material, arising from road construction works, on site to fill under proposed ring road, proposed temporary car park
Disposal of selected excavated material, arising from road construction works, on site at spoil disposal area between proposed ring road and Ash Lane (Spoil Disposal Site No.1)
Disposal of unsuitable and surplus excavated material, arising from road construction works, to a spoil disposal site at HSE North West lands at Ballytivnan, Sligo (Spoil Disposal Site No.2)
Construction of a new internal ring road and associated roundabout, footpaths, verges, lighting, ducts, kerbing, safety barriers, road markings and signage
Construction of a new temporary surface car park and associated lighting, ducts and automatic car park barrier
Construction of 3 No. reinforced concrete cantilever retaining walls
Construction of 1 No. mass concrete retaining structure
Extensive landscaping
Diversion of an existing large diameter watermain to facilitate construction of the proposed ring road
Provision of ducting and associated civil works to accommodate undergrounding of overhead cables by the ESB
Construction of storm water sewers, land drains, manholes, catch-pits, an attenuation system and petrol interceptor
Alterations to existing sewer network to accommodate construction of proposed works
Construction of fencing and railings
